Finding Balance: Settling Into a New Phase

In the first five to six weeks of becoming parents, things slowly began to change.

We were gradually settling into our new roles and responsibilities. The uncertainty was still there, but it no longer felt overwhelming. Day by day, we started finding a rhythm.

We began returning to our usual activities, slowly and carefully, adjusting to this new phase of life.

Around the same time, the summer in Edinburgh felt even more beautiful. Maybe it was not just the season, but the change within us. Things felt a little lighter, a little more manageable.

Looking back, one important lesson from those early days of parenting still stays with me.

During any transition, it is important to remain calm and stay focused on what needs to be done.

The initial struggles — the uncertainty, the small setbacks — are all part of the process. They are not signs of failure, but signs of change.

Every transition in life comes with its own challenges. But with time, patience, and a little understanding, things begin to settle.

Maybe parenting, like many other phases in life, is not about avoiding the difficult moments, but about learning to move through them with calmness and acceptance.

Liked it,keep going. And it’s true that in every aspect if you’re calm you can manage it better.

    1. Thank you. One thing I’ve realized through these experiences is that calmness often changes how we look at challenges, even when the situation itself remains difficult.
